Spherique - Snowflake Catcher
Spherique - Eternal Dreamer by Spherique
A much better tune than the last one that was posted on here. This artist has a track (snowflake catcher) on the latest Med School album from Hospital Records. Its an ethereal down beat monster that has some varied influences - it's pretty production and some of the other tunes on his SoundCloud page are actually a lot better so go check them out - eternal dreamer is probably the best one on there though.
Based out in St Petersburg his work is a classic example of the recent explosion of atmospheric downbeat electronica that is coming from the former USSR at the moment. For some other examples check out BOP and OAK whose No Sunshine is awesome as fuck. It was on the Commix mix for FabricLive a year or more ago.

Ben Steers - Character Totem
Ben Steers is a graphic designer/graffiti artist based in the creative hub of the South West - Brstiol. Its an amazing place and one close to my heart. The Character Totem below is part of InkyGoodnesses Character Totem project.
The project takes wooden totems around the country for live drawing events. Eventually the 35 pieces, all designed by different artists, will be exhibited in Berlin as part of the Pictoplasma Character Walk.
Events have taken place in London, Manchester and Bristol and will be heading to Berlin for the exhibition in April
You should also check out Ben's All I Want For Christmas Cards Project which funds local charity work in Bristol http://www.alliwantforchristmascards.blogspot.com/

Thomas Hooper
Amazing art from one of the best tattoo designers I have ever seen - Thomas Hooper.
Really beautiful intricate patters that have a great level of complexity to them. I am not so much a fan of the Animal tats on the site but, as I am a sucker for them, the geometric patters are a joy to behold. There are a lot of dark and somber designs in here as well. I am sure that the nihilistic and destructive of those who might happen to read this blog post might agree that Thomas Hooper is probably a complete bad ass.
The clothing line is pretty cool and is clearly very much influenced by Escher-esque drawings and skulls, lots of skulls.
Some pics I stole from the site below for your viewing pleasure.
